Maryam Rajavi NCRI President elect. |
A number of European
Parliamentarians signed a declaration in which expressed their wish for democratic
change in Iran and condemning daily executions and violation of human right
committed by the regime ruling Iran. They declared: “We express our solidarity
with the ten-point plan of the Iranian opposition leader Maryam Rajavi, which
calls for a democratic pluralistic republic based on universal suffrage,
freedom of expression, abolition of torture and death penalty, separation of
church and state, a non-nuclear Iran, an independent judicial system, rights
for minorities, peaceful coexistence in the region, gender equality and
commitment to Universal Declaration of Human Rights.”
About the nuclear talks with 5+1 regarding the regime’s nuclear projects the above
mentioned declaration says: “Iran needs to adhere to all UN Security Council
resolutions with regard to its nuclear program and it should respond to all
outstanding IAEA questions while allowing intrusive inspections of all its
military and non-military sites whether declared or undeclared.”
But instead answering such clear questions the regime’s
foreign ministry reacted to that statement. So the MEPs encouraged by this
unusual reaction by Iranian government which clearly demonstrates that the
voice of this parliament promoting European values and human rights cannot be
ignored, and should confront this
reactionary government which is backing fundamentalist terrorists all over the
Middle East, seeking nuclear weapon and suppressing its people in Iran.
